Occasionally classes will be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances and also due to unviable class numbers.

If you can't book it, it's not on.
A note on booking ahead:
This is a truly powerful act; Harness it. Your early intention and commitment on an energetic level means you will get more out of the session. If you've ever signed up for a retreat, training or ceremony, you will have probably noticed that the mechanism of this up-levelling begins much earlier than the event...subtle and not-so-subtle shifts occur, synchronicities increase... and by the time you reach the thing you've booked, you are quite well primed for the medicine of whatever it is to work with you in a fuller way. The earlier you commit the more deeply you can work, and it's not exclusive to intense work - even lighter and smaller sessions can create incredible leverage of transformation when intended in advance.

We currently take cash or payment via bank transfer. Easily sorted via email communication or after class - especially if you'd like to explore our trial pass and multi pass options.
Shala is a living practice space — not a neutral venue for hire.
It was created with care, intention, and significant investment to support embodied, ongoing work.
Because of this, Shala hosts facilitators whose offerings align with the values of consistency, professionalism, and relational integrity.
We prioritise:
- facilitators who actively participate in the Shala ecosystem
- work that values continuity and integration
- pricing models that are sustainable and conscious
- offerings that honour the space, the students, and the wider community
Shala is best suited to facilitators who are already standing in their work, rather than those still finding their footing.
Hosting at Shala is relational. We value mutual investment, shared respect, and clarity around expectations.

A note on hire at Shala - if you are keen to hire for an event, workshop or treatment space, the process is now proposal based.
What does this mean?
This means I am no longer meeting or emailing extensively about hire before an agreement is in place. There has been too much talk and very little follow through.
- I'd love to help if you approach me with a solid plan.
This means that you are responsible for gathering the relevant info you need on Shala, by visiting the space yourself - ie. taking a class or workshop (please respect this by not coming to the space between class times to look in the window). Your proposal needs to contain a proposed hire rate that is transparent - including what you charge for your event/workshop/treatments. Intention is everything, so please include anything relevant. - are some sessions sliding scale/koha/donation based for special circumstances, etc. It can include periods of negotiation for your growing business for long term hire. You must take responsibility for creating a viable model for your pricing and minimum operational levels.
Shala is a beautiful place and with respect, reciprocity and integrity, it can be shared even more widely.
